What is THREADS?
THREADS is the year-end fashion event of George Brown College’s School of Fashion and Jewellery, showcasing our graduating class to the fashion industry. THREADS 2025 comprises three live events: FASHIONWORKS 2025: LUCID, the networking event; the AWARDS, and THREADS 2025: Metamorphosis, the Fashion Show.
Produced for and by our graduating fashion students, our event offers opportunities for our graduates to display their talents and work during our FASHION SHOW, and to network to establish direct contact with fashion-industry professionals during FASHIONWORKS. Supported by George Brown College, THREADS provides the School of Fashion and Jewellery with the opportunity to highlight our students' achievements to potential employers in the fashion industry at the AWARDS ceremony.

Our world is changing, and our theme of METAMORPHOSIS empowers this year’s Fashion graduates to create the transformations we all want to see. THREADS 2025 is about a style revolution. Our graduates are emerging from the silk of a cocoon and unveiling luminous wings to carry them upwards as innovators in the fashion industry.
Fashion Show
FASHIONWORKS is our annual networking event. Hosted by the THREADS Planning Committee in honour of our graduating class, we invite industry to enjoy an afternoon of engaging with our George Brown College School of Fashion and Jewellery graduates. Networking Event
the AWARDS ceremony at THREADS gives George Brown College School of Fashion and Jewellery the opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of our talented and hardworking fashion students and graduates. By invitation, industry partners, friends and family of the award recipients are invited to attend the AWARDS presentation ceremony to share in the celebration of their accomplishments!
